Why do Somali girls do this?

Somali girls wear the hijab but then wear skin tight clothing which shows off their figure and a face full of makeup

Somali girls wear their hijab one day and take it off the next and post pictures without it. If u go through any xalimos twitter you will see pictures of her with and without the hijab

Somali girls wear the hijab and long fake nails at the same time:ayaanswag:

Im not judging Xalimos im just curious. I noticed that on average Somali hijabis seem less serious about wearing hijab than other races so im just curious as to why ? Not all xalimos do this but a large amount do

Almost every Somali woman is forced and shamed to wear the hijab by like age five. Many don’t want to wear it, but face judgement and ostracization from family and the community. That’s pretty much why you see some hijabies acting out.

It’s not a Somali girl thing, it’s all these insta famous hijabis and Muslim make up gurus. They push their khimaar so far back you can see pretty much all their hair.

Live and let live, why do you care? Will you go to the same grave as them?

I'm sick and tired of you idiots trying to dictate what Somali women should wear and not wear. We are not your properties. Mind your damn business.

We will wear leggings and hijab. It's our prerogative.

Point blank period!!!!

It’s mostly an Instagram thing. Not all Somali women dress like that. It’s just the fact that you’ve been consuming media from one source so that has twisted the way you perceive things.

Your statement implies that Somali girls are desperate to dress like gaalo which is nonsense
I didn’t say all Somali women don’t want to wear hijab. Some Xalimos love covering up and good for them.

I was just saying that many Somali girls wouldn’t wear the hijab if they weren’t pressured to. I mean, do Somali men walk around in full Muslim attire all the time? Y’all dress in t-shirts and jeans but we’re the ones who always have to wear hijab and face discrimination?

No man wants his womenfolk to be on public display.

You have a point, to expect all women to wear a jilbab is naive thinking. Some women like to wear the jilbab some wear wear jeans. Some may wear the niqab, and some don’t wear the hijab at all. This is normal, human beings dress and act differently.

I believe you have misinterpreted what I wrote earlier. I do dislike hypocrisy. Wearing extremely tight and short skirts with the hijab is kinda of a contradiction, of which I understand. Harmful behavior like reckless sex and public indecency that I sometimes see Somali girls on Instagram portray should be shunned. This glorification of ghetto culture should be shunned. I have no issues if a women chooses not to wear the hijab or choose to wear pants.
Take @CaliSomali for example. In her many threads you can see a internalized division between being a good Muslim by her society’s standards and still looking fashionable. As for as I know she is a good person. Is it wrong religiously that she doesn’t wear the right clothing expected of her? Perhaps, but who hasn’t sinned? There are thousands like @CaliSomali today. Wanting to wear pants does not lead a women into a path of immortality. That’s just giving her a choice. I’m not painting all women to be right and men in the wrong. I’m not supporting or denying that some women behave immorally. I saying giving women the choice to choose what they wear is better overall. You can shun all you want, hoes and dilos won’t disappear, you’ll only make people like @CaliSomali feel as if their wrong. I don’t judge others from the safety of my computer, I’ll leave that for Allah to do.

Nope, I see this with the Somali girls that live around me. Not just online
