Why do Somali boys turn to gangs?

I always wondered why do Somali boys turn to gangs when they come from a supporting and a loving family? Is a coping mechanism or do they feel like that it is a trend that they're missing out on. I personally believe that they are just being influenced by society and them being part of gangs is not their fault. Even there are incidents where girls enter gangs to do nasty jobs.

Even if they do live in a good area, they still end up in gangs. It depends on the individual or whether they're peer pressured.

They hang around with the worst type of people. I honestly feel bad for the parents especially single mothers as they tried their best to raise the best child.

It's not always the absence of the father. Many boys go into gangs even when the father is present and plays a huge role in their life.
A good father figure is not a dad anybody can be a day. A good father figure is a person who polices their child before the police do.

i call this ''culture similarity effect kkk i know it's goofy'' so basically humans are sheep they follow whatever the big group that looks like them is doing, if young black man sees his people or community particularly doing certain thing he'll also follow to not feel left out or a reject, have u ever heard phrase ''bro u indian act indian'' or ''bruv u white act white'' basically u people are known for certain things do that and he will do it even if he doesn't want to, stereotypes and rumours are big influential thing that can effect person more than anything, a black boy would more likely be rapper bc that's what his people are known for same with chinese kid he will be mathematician bc that's what chinese are stereotyped as and known for

How is someone turning to gangs and deliberately doing "drugs" the same as dropping your hijab? I slightly understand where you are coming from but I'm sorry hijab and drugs are not in the same category.

Tricking and gangs are the same level because they both meet at the same locations its all the same bs groups.

Its our way of honoring our brave forefathers. Gangs are the modern day qabil ,which is engraved in our DNA & culture. That's the only a farax functions properly, by repping a gang/qabil . I'd encourage every farax to join a gang and get involved in modern gangwars ,so you experience what your forefathers experienced.

so basically describing every group of human except for the heavily urbanised ones

Environment plays a big role in it hence why parents need to be very much involved in their kids lives and know who their friends are, and they're more prone to that- especially if they lack a strict father. Of course, even with a strict father, one could fall into that lifestyle, but it isn't as likely. Fathers are to be the disciplinarians, mothers provide the nurturing. Most of the kids who turned out okay, from the east African community here in my city in Texas, had strict fathers in their lives, and only one WHO had one that turned out sorta bad, but even he, reformed himself.
