Why do people act as if suburban black people don’t exist in 1st world countries?

There’s this presumption that every black person is from the hood. There are tons of middle-class regular black people who live the suburbs. For some reason black people think you are a weirdo if you don’t grow up in the struggle.

who thinks this?
There are so many black Africans living in suburbia here in Canada,as is the case across the US. I’m pretty sure more black people live in somewhere between upper working class and middle class, as oppose to the ‘hood’

Because hood blacks are loud. They reinforce this stereotype through their music. "Making it out of the hood". Also it doesn't help that blacks are the lowest income earners paired with highest single motherhood

Facts. Most of the black people I've met in life were from Suburbs and normal af.

Because black people no matter where they grew up either act like hood with their improper English, style, music etc or they act so pretentious and whitewash and ran away from their people. There’s no in-between for reasons I don’t understand.

honestly, I am convinced that African cultures should be promoted so that African culture can provide models for diaspora black communities (or whatever term you want to use).... you look at African culture, people can be authentically African and without having to emulate either the "whitewashed" model of culture or the "hood" model... then there's the encouragement of religious and family values.... African culture is criminally underrated imo... I mean for example I think it is criminal how you see promoted all this "Afrocentric" stuff about everyone in history supposedly being black rather than simply promoting authentic African history
