I am pretty sure most of you guys here in this forum have noticed some clans seems fixated on compparing or competing with PL, while in reality PL sees them as a burden on their shoulders like some damn kids. No joke most Puntites leaders feel some duty of responsibility to Somalia as if it's their burden to carry.

They have done enough for Somalia since 1927 when it's own kingdom got sacked in Hobyo and Majerteniya, they organised these people into independence movement who were happily under some colonial rule(direct or indirect is the same shit to us).

They organised the state for them by merging colonial systems with traditional systems wherever possible but due to colonial rule being heavily felt in the Isaaq and Hawiye, the traditional character was not fully realized. I mean how many threads do we need to read about turkey oil in southern offshore blocks?

These southern niggas don't have land based oil at all, the oil can't be sourced from farming areas without destroying their farms in the process. Offshore is way to expensive usually to extract compared to on land oil plus their is huge difference in quality of oil below sea vs on land, consider it like Mercedes vs a damn Chinese brand car lol .

All companies and govt would love to procure PL oil due to the great quality of it vs it's cheap refining capability. The Garbaharey formation is noted for its particularly promising deposits of Dolomitic Limestone also known as dolomite which is a versatile mineral with numerous applications. It's primarily used in construction (as aggregate, in concrete and mortar, and for road construction), agriculture (as a soil conditioner and to adjust pH), and various industrial processes (like glass manufacturing and metallurgy as a flux).

The Mandera Ligh basin also has the potential to host multi billion barrels of oil and oil seepages have shown the Ogaden basin which contains natural gas also extends in northern Gedo region.


Cherry on the top a senior civil servant from the Kacaan Somalia's most competent government in history notes The Royal Dutch Shell company was certain of deposits in Degmada Bardheere.

This is the full map of the country. Somalia geological map. The Dolomitic Limestone I mentioned seems to be native only to the Garbaharey region which means it a near total monopoly on that specific export in Somaliweyne furthermore the exposed part of the numerous plateaus and mountains in the region make it much more commercially viable to mine the limestone instead of having to dig deep underground to find it.

This is the famous Humbaale mountain where Marehan Rer Gedo use to amass their forces before going on new campaignsn to take territory.
