Why did the Hawiye and Darood political settlement fail?

The author of this article points out the failure to fully implement federalism has contributed to Darood ethnic exclusionism while also pushing the idea that Somalia should entertain 1 man 1 vote elections regardless of the security situation.

I think this is an interesting mix of ideas.

I guess you don’t read history. There was no ‘political settlement’, according to you it was imposed by the west but at the same time you are confused by it. How ironic.

Okay go take up your conspiracies with UNSOM political advisors and professors who specialize in Somali politics.

Here we ask the difficult questions and we don't try to gloss over inconvenient truths. This is the real debate.

You said that Somalia is a western project, did you not? Does munaadaqnimo run in your veins?? So then what is ‘an interesting mix of ideas’ when we already know what your ideas are?? 🥴

Just stick to the topic instead coming in here and saying the sky isn't blue. We don't have time for all that.

Lol mentioning Hawiye/Darood is munaafaqad? Get a life. You would think it was kryptonite the way people avoid this key feature/flaw? in Somalian politics.
You still haven’t addressed how you’ve consistently maintained that Somalias system of governance is imposed by the west, as opposed to your own which you clearly assume to be organic in some way. If that is the case, then Darood/Hawiye doesnt matter, the real issue would be that it is seen as imposed!! Please try to see clearly and logically, and put aside your ‘Isaaq supremacist’ identity.

Interesting deflection. Now it's not a settlement but an imposed settlement? If that was the case the FGS would have been chased out of Mogadishu so that is a lie. And why are you trying to label me an Isaaq supremicist? You can't tolerate basic questions.

I guess you’ve never heard of Ethiopia and Amisom then. You couldn’t be any slower if you tried sxb.

There is no political settlement, there’s been a ceasefire agreement in place. Neither side decisively won and was able to impose its will on the other.
