OPINION Why Deni Is The Logical Choice

Anyone who is not convinced Deni is the logical choice for the Presidency, you are either illogical or emotionally driven.

1. He has federal government experience as a Minister
2. He has local experience through PL
3. Deni has the backing of his own clan Darod unlike Farmajo who is seeking Rahanwayn support which is illogical. If you can't secure your own house, seeking other tribes support is a pointless ambition.

At this critical point of Somalia. We need a person in office who can end the 'central/federal' conflict and finalize constitutional task, especially areas around power-sharing between feds and regions, resource sharing, revenue sharing. These areas if left unresolved will mean Somalia will not progress as the regions/feds will continue to be in a 'stalemate', this will effect economic development and security. The reason there is no national 'army' is because of the unresolved political dispute, that's why shabab can operate in this vacuum.

Any promises of security and eliminating shabab without addressing the political deadlock is 'child play'. It's only stuff children will believe not rational people.

The other thing that needs addressing is 'clan reconciliation', every elder and Isim of each clan must attend clan reconciliation tasks at the tuulo level, regional, and then national. All clan conflicts either historical or present need to be put on the table and resolved immediately. This is a critical area that needs to be done so politicians cannot 'drum' up conflict when they lose something or don't get they're way nor can shabab continue to live on the clan anomosity.

A team of well respected individuals nationally will be given the task to manage this process. Any deadlock or unresolved disputes between elders and isim will be handed to an 'independent' assessing committee to finalize and all clan representatives will need to sign and accept the reconciliation process whether it's in your favor or not.

Once this is complete, creating a national army will be very simple and weeding out shabab will be quick who can no longer survive thru clan anomosity.

Once those tasks are complete, The icing on the cake will be be to put thru one man one vote system. Working of the 91 legal borders, each 'district' will be allocted 3 MPS, except Mogadishu which is a 'federal territory' and requires 'negiotation' between all Somalis regarding it's role in the federation.

Any In-accessible districts due to shabab, if they do 'exist' still which I doubt they will if the above issues are resolved, will get their '3 MPS' selection race in Mogadishu, while other districts can be done thru one man one vote.

Puntites will leave behind a legacy, we want our 'kids' to continue the 'bragging rights' against other kids who's leaders fail to deliver any legacy and more concerned with 'look at me im president' or 'i want corruption money', the lowest form of leaders.

Puntites do not seek power for such reasons, we seek power to leave behind building blocks for our descendants to progress further from. We want Somalia to Rise but we don't shy away from the areas that needs negiotation or resolution. Empty promises are for kids.

Deni already has a good chunk of Dir support thru the Isaaq bloc. He must be wise and bring about a resolution to they're Secessionism which is purely 'power share' driven.

I say the best solution under the 4.5 framework is to allocate 'DIR' into the Hawiye presidency/pm quota as 'Irirism'. Let them rotate and share since 4.5 is based on 'tribe' and irir is one tribe.

If we end up with a one-man one vote system, well clan will be obsolete unless they're is 'gentleman agreement' like 4.5 which by the way isn't 'constitutional' but if we do have one man one vote system, it will be down to 'parties' and everyone can vote for who they want.

I suggest all parties have to be 'inclusive' and resemble a nation-wide party, have a distinct idealogy(nationalism, socialism, capitalism, islamism), a distinct set of programs and how it will be delivered(costings). This is has to be a 'bare minimum' in my book for any registered party. If they do not have this, they shouldn't be registered. Populism isn't suitable for Somalia after 21 year populist dictator. A populist thinks his above 'party or government' and is 'person centric'. These type of leaders are considered dangerous and can undermine the govt, parties, and institutions.
