i wasn't born in London but have lived here for a few yrs. a lot of people on the internet and IRL accuse Somalis of being self-obsessed with their features but if i'm honest i cant even blame some Somalis for this , it doesn't matter if i'm at the airport with my family or in a classroom , going into a shop or sitting in the bus, ppl bring up our features, especially the forehead if they're dissing us or hair, me and my friend went to Nandos and the women giving us our food said your noses are so small how do you breath . now the ppl who say this are blacks and Asians, I've been thinking about this today because for the past 3 months I've been working with the general public in central London and every other day i'm asked where i am from, (i look like a typical Somali) this one Asian man started arguing with me saying i couldn't be because of my face shape and that i'm Ethiopian . Asians talk badly about Africans or Caribbeans to me ,its uncomfortable , they differentiate Somalis from Africans.
this doesn't ever happen when i go to other European countries or Asian countries ,
no one cares about somalis like that, im never on twitter but whenever there's beef its usually somalis vs ppl from the uk
so why do UK people act like Somalis are a different.
the most discrimination I've faced in the UK is because i'm Somali.
