Why are Somalis too trusting?

Some lady at the gas station asked me to watch her kids while she goes to pay the gas. She left the car running and her two kids inside. This is not the first time I noticed this behavior, I once had a guy give me his credit card to buy him sambusa because the men section was too long.

Are you too trusting? Do you judge by how someone looks on whether to trust them or not?

These two odeyaal came up to me at the airport, they noticed that I had only 10kgs of luggage with me. They asked me to take one of their bags and I accepted it until one of virgin airways staff noticed the switch and stopped it. He said they could have anything in their bags and he was right. I was 21 at the time.

They are trusting of other Somalis. This is especially so because you’re a woman. It’s also a sign of irresponsibility and dangerous naivety.

Lol yeah I would've never agreed to that especially with what's going on lately, there's gotta be a limit to helping out. I'm grateful that we like to help out each other but like @Mercury said some people will try to take advantage.

This one Somali woman forgot her wallet inside her car, so she left me with her kid for like a minute. She doesn't even know what kind of person i am, that was a dangerous gamble on her part. :heh:

I was young a naive at the time. Wouldn't even talk to them today.

Yeah Somali neighbours babysat us when we were younger and my mum even took in homeless Somalis for a meal at our house.

Two years ago a random Somali dude stopped at the bus stop and gave me a lift to my house .

He could have been a serial killer :ooh:
Lol it seems to be common with Somalis, I have picked up old Somali ladies from the street couple of times, one even invited me inside her house for cup of tea while I was helping her with the groceries, I of course politely declined.

One Somali older lady picked me up at the bus stop on a cold winter day. I thought she would ask for a sexual favour . I don't know why I even accepted the offer.

Somali mothers always give me their cards to buy them formula or milk at the grocery store because A) they don't want to take all the kids with them B) they can't find parking lot.

Last winter a Somali dad asked me to watch his sleeping baby in the car while he ran to grab something from target. It was snowing, so I had to sit in the car and watch the baby.
