Why are Somalis not in to water sports like boat racing

Somalia has to create a new sports Marine arena to unite all Somalis in Somalia. Since we are knew for our beach why dont we create sport about boat racing. Just like Somalia the state of Flordia is knew for its beach and amazing weather like Somalia. There alot of common things between Somalia and the state of Flordia. Flordia is a state which capitalizes on its geographical location and so should Somalia. For instance in the 1960's Flordia had created a water based sport of boat racing it had developed stadiums in marines. Now imagine if Somalia created a sport similar to this. Also we Somali's are creative enought to build deep water seaport. So this stadium should be easy for us to build. This can also create alot of jobs for the youth and they can start there own business also. This will bring in alot of money for all of Somalia. the arabs have there own thing like desert racing. Why dont we have ours?

Boat Racing is probably impossible in somalia. You see with all the images, the races are held in usually shallow lakes or bodies of water with minimal waves may it be a lagoon or filled salt flat. Somalia dosent really have this other then the large lagoon in the southern area. Somalia coast is beautiful with long beaches, but sadly that dosent make a good port meaning you have to make large investments to make sea reclamation or extensive dredging so boats dont get stuck... Im telling you the lagoon in south somalia needs to be made into a port, who cares about the environment europe and america has done this millions of times... The future of somalia is in the south in my view.. but getting back to the point. A marine thing like this wont unite anybody tbh, somalis are early on in development and things like boat racing is something to do when a countries developed. Also its probably not gonna be worth it, wheres the money going to come from? I think soccer is a good enough sport what we need to invest in is Shipping Ports and Railways
