Besides the science of it. I just don't think its cool. Like, grow out your hair, I'm tired of bald headed men bro. Its just screams medocrity to me.

I had to shave my head as a teen because my parents hated me growing out my afro. A lot of my Somali guy friends have curly hair that goes down to their shoulders (when they decide to grow it out) my hair grows up like a full blown traditional geeljire afro you see in pictures. I love it. Moving out of my hooyos house meant I could grow it out. I honestly don't want to cut my afro for the next couple of years. Its a unique look that you'll hardly see on a guy my build. And I like that.
