Why’re there so few studies from Egypt?

If you look at the neighbors of Egypt, the Maghreb and the levant, it’s pretty well sampled from the epipaleolithic to the modern period, yet nothing comparative from Egypt. And yeah I get the crappy conditions for genetic preservation or high levels of contamination, but come on. We have a dissertation study from the old kingdom period from a PhD student (can’t read it until 2025), yet established researchers can’t even recover and analyze bronze aged samples?
