1) A kid who grew up in Somali neighborhood, and turned out to be a thug.

2) A kid who grew up in the suburbs, or a town with no Somalis, and went to all white school who becomes a club and alcohol consumer ?

Sxb you don't need daqan celis for any reason. We are human beings and we should try everything and see what works. There is no reason to be beholden to your "daqan". Daqans come and go all the time. There is no need to cling onto one. It's not a rule written anywhere.

I see two different topics being discussed here, luckily I saw the original post :gaasdrink:
@R.Kelly you almost had it...gotta be quicker than that

Depends on the intention with the dhaqan cells trip, is it about helping the kid get in touch with his culture & heritage. Then that's more appropriate for Somali 2. If It's about straightening him out or let relatives raise him because parents have been stuck their head in sad for too long, then that's fitting for Somali 1.

Personally, I think dhaqancelis shouldn't even be a factor, perhaps as a last solution but the way parents use it is either lazy, counterproductive and/or violating to their son/daughters rights, even if they f*ck up in a consistent basis. So rather it being a non-factor.

Kids grow out of clubbing and drinking but joining gangs can kill you. I say they both need dhaqan celis but I would take away the passport of the gang member and marry him off while the party animal will just spend the summer there to get some Islamic perspective and way of life.

Definitely the 2. The first kid as well but once they return, they may go back to it in turn they need to be there forever and come home to the West for holidays and then maybe come back if they’re good

Both need it and in My opinion the only dhaqancelis that Will work is if a relative take their passports and drop them off at their Geeljire relative living Miles away from town living like a nomad

Only when they face hardships like that Will they start evaluating their life
