The situation in Kenya is becoming dire. 22 white landowners own half of Laikipia county and 300K pastoralists have to share the remaining 4000 sq km which is smaller than the smallest distirct in Somalia, Goldogob.
The white ranchers had 99 year leases from the government that are now starting to expire, the pastoralists do not want the government to renew their leases and are trying to evict them. They want the government to give them back their ancestral land.
This one woman, Kuki Gallmann, owns 247,000 acres of the best land in Laikipia while pastoralists starve outside her ranch.
