These blacks are so desperate to claim every group as black it wouldn't surprise me if a dark skinned alien race landed here and they started claiming they were the same race as them too. Mexico and USA are both on the same continent but they are not the same. India/China/Russia are all very distinct and on Asian land *mostly*, I didnt even touch on the Arabs who are also in Asia. In fact there is no division in the land separating Asia from Africa or Europe.

These Euros made the rules that doesn't mean they are right, They could've easily divided Africa into 2 continents two north / south, or Afro-Asiatic/Negroid. Its all arbitrary and vague. Nothing set in stone, our Ancestors would not consider themselves of the same bloodline as Bantus or Zulus nor should they be all labeled a marginalizing label that doesn't have any ties to land, there is no nation called Blackistan or language called Black.
We should obviously play up the black term around them for political gain since we are ultra minorities in the west numbers wise but we have to keep in mind we share very little in common with these black people whether in Africa or the new world since most of them are thoroughly colonized and even their indigenous civilizations or cultures are not ours, as much as some hate to admit it Somalis are part of the Muslim civilization or culture in the same boat as the Arabs.

I believe in disaggregating data. Because you might not be getting a clear picture under Black (African). Someone from Nigeria might be doing better relative to someone from Sierra Leone in the west. The experience of a francophone African is different from their anglophone counterpart. Somalis largely arrived as refugees under asylum, rather than as economic migrants.There are certain idiosyncrasies in the Somali experience that are not shared with other groups - typified as black. Similarly, interventions when targeting Somalis might have to have a more tailored approach. I think the label black is misleading and obscuring unless it's based on discriminatory practices, and I'm sure even that's not equally felt.
