Bleach is honestly deeper than people give it credit for. A lot of fun character stuff, poetry and beautiful calligraphic art as his art style grew. A lot of people, my younger self included, get it wrong by trying to compare it to Naruto and One Piece narratively. It was never trying to be that kind of typical shone "main character strives to become the best" type story. It's just a normal dude who got thrown into all this wild spirit shit making do and trying to protect those he loves and trying to be a decent person as he does so. In a lot of ways it's also just Kubo having fun with the settings to explore ideas he has around characters, morality, life and philosophy. K
It's only honest to God notable flaw for me is how he treats some of the women in the story. Can do without all the fan service, for example. Otherwise a very enjoyable series with a KILLER aesthetic. Kubo should have gone into fashion for reals.
