As somalis it's normal for guys to hold hands, but in western countries it signals the wrong ideas. When I meet an uncle on the street, I try to avoid greetings through the hand cause they will hold on that hand more than the islamic hand shake greetings. Its annoying and it would be disrespectful to pull my hands back immediately, they will think i have cuqdad. This is what happened today and I saw two black girls from the neighbour staring at me and the hand, they probably think I am ciyal Lut. Is there any advice how I could avoid these situations?

There is nothing you can do to escape the grip of adeers. You can only let go when the uncle decides its time.
Just embrace it. I understand the concerns, just maintain a good posture and try to look as regal as possible.
If something makes u uncomfortable don’t do it keep it real. Another thing common is sometimes 5 people will eat from same huge plate with hands. Ever since Covid I’ve become germophobe and can’t do it makes my stomach turn even if it upsets others, won’t eat or will ask for own plate

Yes I am actually not young but not that old too, I just entered my early 30s, maybe to some they will be grandpa's, especially if your younger than 18. These uncles are 50s

It's normal, my grandfather had 4 wife's, his eldest child who's my aunt was born in 1939 and his youngest child also my other Aunt is around 7 years older than me, in her late 30s. I have cousins in late 50s/60s and i am uncle to age 30s/40s, I am also a grandpa at this age, Majority are child, teens and 20s.
