Apparently life was good in 1960-1969. Cost of living was low. 1 goat could cover your expenses for a month in terms in the capital. I don't have data however to find historical price index of market place and commodities and other cost of living and balance it against 'pay-rates' of different levels of our society. Another important 'gouge' is house prices. HG burned all the govt ministries that kept these on files. They went 'barbarian' on us like when Rome was sacked by his own HG of the day.
The HG isn't a tribe sxb, it's a mind-set, it's barbaric mentality that existed even in dark age europe. I love studying middle ages of Europe because it gives me insight about HG mentality. Have u seen how religiousity and terrorism has increased? this is what happened after Rome was sacked and the Europeans entered a dark age, during a dark age, religious extremism develops and why europe became crusaders and pope run countries up untill the dawn of renaissance when the light which is(knowledge) start to enter the regions and change people mind. I know Somalia is going thru a mini-dark age period. It shows all the symptoms of of the dark ages of europe were disease and famines were rampant, where security was low, where ' elders' ruled small groups of barbarians. I see identical systems. Now shabab has come and increased religiousity is identical to the religious madness that was happening in Europe. The only question I have is Somalia going to stay in the dark ages as long as europe did for 1000 years or are they going to come out of it. So far it's pushed beyond 30 years the dark age period.

That's what barbarians target the government or emperor, they then proceed to burn the libraries so schooling and education is over, then begins the dark age period. Dark age is the absence of governance and learning, isn't this what we see in Somalia. This is what HG did, burnt all our libraries, institutions, governments, this is why we went into dark age.
