To soften, reduce, another word that can be used instead of dabac(a northern accent, i think) is jileec. Like, ii calool jileec.

I think calool jileec might be used everywhere. Is calool dabac used regularly? I've never heard it.

I've seen the use of calool dabac in songs and formal writings mostly. I would also say calool jileec is more common, but there is this negative connotation to it, where calool dabac sounds like it has neutral or even positive connotation.
