I hear this story often Somalis were trading back and forth with khaliijka none thought about settling

Actually theres many somalis who got the citizenship and settled there. They hide their heritage and marry arabs to fit in. They even change their last names to fit in and buy namesakes such as al qahtani, al dowsari. My grandfather used to work in the gulf and was offered the citizenship but he refused. I could have been an arab

You're right I got relatives who are Kuwaiti apparently but they cut their Somali side off. I find it odd but maybe its an afro-arab thing to disassociate with Africa, unlike the Persian Xadar that keep speaking Af-Farsi

Sad thing is that arabs especially the ones from tribes call them طرش البحر a slur used against people from foreign origins which means vomit of the sea. Theyre very much ostracized and isolated even though they have a citizenship. There was a case of a saudi citizen with somali origin that got deported cause the police didn’t believe he was saudi and they deported him back to somalia they didnt even let him show them his passport

It is used by the majority, in Jeddah, and in Hijaz in general, they are very diverse. There are Africans, Turks, and Persians who have citizenship, so they are named with this sentence. I have relatives who went to the East and worked for a large company, and they were given citizenship, and their condition is excellent.
