This can be your mother, sister, cousin or wife. What would you do?
Make dua for them all the time and try my best to still treat them with the best akhlaaq. It’s Allah who guides us. I would try to not feel sad for too long to not dwell on it as it is out of control. This can be your mother, sister, cousin or wife. What would you do?
How would you talk to her sxb. Being strict seems to only make them angrier and more secretiveAs a man I am responsible for my family so I would not allow it, just like how I would not allow my son to party or sell drugs.
But as the man of the family (especially if your father is gone) don't you have responsibility to do something? What can you do? You can't realistically force anyone to wear the hijab so if they stop wearing it just mind your business and remember to focus on your own relationship with Allah because on Judgement Day the only person you will be answering for is yourself.
Yes you can encourage it, tell them to wear it, tell them why its important. But if they still say no, what can you do? Really not a lot. It's the sad realityBut as the man of the family (especially if your father is gone) don't you have responsibility to do something?
I don't know but I'd rather be strict and risk her becoming angrier and more secretive instead of allowing it and looking the other way.How would you talk to her sxb. Being strict seems to only make them angrier and more secretive
Why can't there be a middle path? You don't have to necessarily be in favor of it. You can't control what someone else chooses to do with their life but you can maintain good ties of kinship.I don't know but I'd rather be strict and risk her becoming angrier and more secretive instead of allowing it and looking the other way.
This is a rather delicate scenario to be in especially as a man because you'll be between a rock and a hard place. You are limited in your power. I would advise you to speak to a trusted sheikh to gain more suitable answers that will contain wisdom and knowledge of diin. But as the man of the family (especially if your father is gone) don't you have responsibility to do something?
