I used to go to a private school in Mogadishu in the late 70s. There were a ton of musical groups all around the country that used to play every couple of months. I used to do my homework in the biggest mansion in all of Somalia while eating xalwo and drinking shaax. I had 80 marriage proposals by the time I was 16. We were happy and everyone else was happy. Young entrepreneurs were ready to push Somalia forward by starting new businesses that would've powered industries. The sad thing was I had to wake up every day and look at the president's face as I was reading a textbook. I just wish you kids would've experienced that peaceful country. On the bright side, I am going to get married to a young gazelle as I am nearing 69.
