What lies ahead for the world of spirituality and religion for our ethnic youth in the West

The Sheikh spoke on the trials and tribulations facing the majority of us ethnics in the West. This lecture is littered with gems all across and brings some important issues of concern to mind. The sheik mentioned how many of our educated youth are leaving Islam. More of our educated youth are leaving Islam compared to those with barely a GED and have criminal records. The sheikh was even alarmed at how these ethnic criminals stick to the deen and are more religious when compared to our educated ethnic youth. He also dived into specific situations that occur in the West and how it is impacting our way of life. Majority of this lecture resonates with me since I have experienced some of the situations and have also witnessed the majority of what the Sheikh talks about here in Toronto. Every thing he said in the lecture is the truth and is currently happening here in Toronto. Our masjids are becoming like the westernized Arabs mosques. These days you will find majority of the elderly ethnics praying and no youth at all. This is what the future holds for us in the West. By the third generation we will all be Muslim by name and will have integrated to the point that we won’t even be speaking our mother tongue at all.

The lecture is eye opening and summarizes what has been happening in our ethnic community for the last 30 years. You will see what the sheikh speaks of if you take a stroll here in Toronto. It is the reality on the ground. Majority of our youth will be consumed by the larger prevailing forces here in the West and with a tiny minority sticking to our roots, religion and customs.
