What is your diet like?

I find most people nowadays eat unhealthy, and if they do eat "healthy" they attach to some diet regime extremely and end up depriving themselves of nutrients.
Also people eat too much when Islamically we should only eat as much as we need to stand up.

Grains, Soy, and Legume Free, aka some variant of Paleo/Primal.

I thought of pivoting to ketoivore/carnivore, but I don't want to get under 100 lbs. The problem with these dietary restrictions is that you risk becoming too thin if you don't like eating much.

When I started on AIP/Paleo, I got down to 92 lbs/41 Kg, and I'm 5'6. I increased my starches and tweaked my diet; now, I'm a stable 115 lbs/52 kg.

Sorry I misread your post
Also what do you eat for carbs, I eat potatoes and sweet potatoes and butternut squash etc
I've rotated with root vegetables. I noticed that adding them to my diet has helped. I would add cassava to that list as well.

Yh I roast frozen cassava chips they taste crispy and seasoned well are better than fast food Alhamdulillah
Also in each meal portion do you eat to your fill or a third of your stomach ot does it vary
And how many meals do you eat a day
Max I eat 2 portions one main meal then maybe something later in the day in a small amount I realise you can function with the saem if not more energy on alot less food

  • I think people are adaptable and capable of changing according to their food availability and environment.
  • I avoid overeating, and pace myself when I eat. And prefer eating under conditions that are not stressful.
  • As for water consumption (always filtered/distilled). I oddly don't drink fluids when I eat or after. Unless I'm about to choke. I prefer drinking water 15-30 minutes before a meal.
  • I eat 2 meals a day and it works for me which I could split up into more meals depending on it. I'm not one that likes to snack but to each their own. I tell people to follow what maximizes their energy.
  • I see the wisdom of consuming 1/3 air, 1/3 water, and 1/3 food.
  • Some people like a greater frequency of smaller meals because they have GERD/Acid Flux and that might work for them.
  • I forgot to add I don't eat processed sugar at all.

nah meat is very good for u.
red meat was classified as a carcinogen by the WHO

chicken is a good choice

fish can only be eaten a few times during the week depending on the mercury levels.

You can pretty much get all the benefits from eating plant based foods that meat provides.

FYI I'm still an omnivore who eats meat. I have just been reducing my meat intake slowly . Vegetarian is the long term goal for me. 100% plant based or vegan is tough for me personally.

Don't go vegetarian for an indefinite period. Consider what your ancestors ate. This was the advice that one of my university professors gave me. I think vegetarianism is fine for a period but not forever.

I recall reading that the Massai went through a dietary transition and started to have increased chronic health conditions (heart disease, cardiovascular disease) from eating a diet high in carbs and low in saturated fats. Check out this article (below). Bear in mind I know Somalis do not drink blood and it's against our faith (though it was practiced by the North Cushitic Beja at some point). However, one should keep in mind that old-school Somalis had more limited grain consumption than they do today, and likely didn't eat wheat, favouring other grains and subsisting on dairy and animal products. I'm referring to what I believe was their non-urbanized diet. In fact, it is believed that the Somali diet consisted exclusively of meat and milk before the introduction of grain. It's indicative of older Somali phrases such as:

Waa taan cad iyo caano waaye
Let ‘the unknown” deny me meat and milk [Not a direct translation]

This phrase was often uttered in place of the now overused term - wallahi. It essentially means my word is my bond.

Idc about WHO, humans have been eating red meat for thousands of years, cancer is a modern illness, red meat is pumped with unnatrual chemicals which is why it may have negative effects, but red meat in of itself is good in moderation
dont believe the propganda

I said free of grains, soy, and legumes aka Paleo. I don't think you're familiar.
i have a question about legumes, people have been eating them for thousands of years and were fine, is it the legumes in modern day which are bad, or is it the additional estrogen mimicking hormones on top of the already excessive amount which stops you from eating it
