I think the US military is overrated. I think for the amount of manpower, money and hardware they have compared to their opponents, their performances are underwhelming.

I still think they’re number one compared to the other big armies but they’re not superheroes

The gulf countries are moving away from fundamental religion not because of the west influence but because they need to exercise their soft power in other ways once the oil runs out. That's the reason why they invested in football clubs/World cup and tourism e.g building that new big ass tourism beach City in the Saudi by 2030 or something.

Mosques barely make much money compared to churches. The Vatican is a multi-billion dollar machine.

But the West can’t just tax churches and leave mosques alone so I kind of understand why they should tax all religious institutions.

I get what you mean because thats how you end up with Scientology/wahhabi mosques and them mega churches that have the pastor living like a king. What are we taxing though? The donations people make? I assume some of these places aren't even run for profit?
