Walaahi i am surprised and worried. I study masculinity/femininity and homosexuality a lot and this was a SHOCK!

I think that every generation the children should be doing better than the parents, and for that to work the parent has to be a good role model for the child, but also can't be the best person because you need to leave room for the child to excel and become better. If the parents are amazing then the children have no room to improve and won't become success themself. Thats why i feel sad for the children of ronaldo and lebron james because they are always living in the shadow of aabohooda.

Thats why i have worry of raising my own children, because i feel like i have to choose between cilmi ama dhaqan, I have the privilege of raised by educated, fully somali parents, in a country with excellent education system, and opportunity for a good dugsi and study to be mawlana as well. But we have to compromise on connection to homeland for this opportunity, and if i raise my children in qurbada i am doubting if they will end up as proper somali children aware of their home country. However if i raise them in somalia I feel like i am cheating them out of a good education that i myself got, and they will end up blue collar workers oo daankooda jaad wey dhumiyaan!
