Haven't heard it akhi but I think it means ran out of luck, don't know why these people are attacking u my fellow mj brother

In my neck the woods, it means when something good happens, like you got lucky.

In England it means being out of luck.
 
It was confusing to see the word "homely" used on here in a positive manner.
