I'd go a step further and have independent Oromia. Maybe we can take hararghe in exchange they can take the southern regions of Ethiopia into Oromo State. Kenya should be carved up and somalis take more, especially the coastline.

Afaria, Oromia, Somalia, Eritrea & Blemmyes(Beja) should form a Nato-like Cushitic military union.

"Ethiopia" will just be little amxaar region.

Well we can either incorporate afars into somalia which would leave us with a desolate land with hostile Geelgires. Or realistically afars can't be a big threat. Somalia would be the regional power and the afar sultan can just give us a port a some military bases in the state and we'd we alright.
