theres no real reason for a somali person to identify themselves as black, because if you're somali it's a given you will have dark skin color, curly hair, big lips and some other things associated with blackness. those things are a parcel with being somali as it is, there is no point of creating a separate identity for it. I mean I can see refering to yourself as black in terms of physical appearance/color, but I can't see how some people can have an identity around it ("as a black woman...")
