No one will mistreat a child of mine regardless of his/her ethnicity whether s/he’d be a half cast or not! That should be your mindset not the other around pleasing others and their social construct of what a Somali should look like.

Westernized Somalis are superficial people bruv. Go back home and see for yourself no one cares who or what your mixed with everyone is treated with equal level of respect and Somalinimo ayaad lagu soo dhaweni with open arms.

Yeah no doubt there are many people around the indian ocean who have come to Somalia and inter married with us. My own family has yemenis who came to Djibouti and married into my family during the early 1900s such as my great grandmother.
And yeah I've went back home and there isn't an issue of discrimination against mixed people cause Djibouti city is quite diverse. We aren't like the cadaans

We all know that marrying your own makes marriages and life easier for the people involved. That is why I went for a Somali and advice others to as well. But other than that, why are people invested in the life of others?

None of this talk about how ‘your children aren’t Somali’ matters, because as of now, you’re a son of a refugee claiming the nationalities of others via your passport. Unless we come together and build our nation, being Somali means nothing. I mean imagine taunting a Xalimo about her kids not being Somali if her kid are actually from a built up stable nation? Shame is free.

I don't think anything of it. It's just a "thing". My thoughts are neither positive nor negative.

There can be concerns of whether children can end up confused or with a lack of identity however with proper parenting and the instilment of a culture(s) to identify with those concerns can for the most part be ameliorated.
