What are the odds HSM will come back?

It’s 50/50. HSM is scum guy, he’s dismantled the SNA so they can’t oust him when it’s time and he’s purposefully surrounded the borders outside of Mogadishu with al shabaab so no external actors can enter the city by land to get him out.
Having already given up on Somalia, whether he comes back or not is of no concern to me. We’ve already seen what happens when a good president comes. FMS actors behave as roadblocks to anyone trying to move the county forward.

How strong is his Abgaal support? I'm surprised the locals of Mogadishu won't oust him despite AS being right outside.
He’s at odds with his own clan of Waceysle. Only a small sub clan protecting him. Nonetheless, he has put that small sub into positions of power within the city, so when voting comes, his own clan will run the voter registration so that he may return, and everything outside of Mogadishu will be surrounded by Ethiopian troops or al shabaab, so that no one can enter.
He dissolved lots of oversight bodies, created his own political party, and the only cities reportedly preparing for one man one vote are hawiye towns/cities so all of this seems fishy
As @Pastoralist said its 50/50 but even if he isnt elected the next 2 likely candidates are deni and farmajo so either way this country is cooked

Farmaajo, I liked his national security architecture bill. It was well thought out.
Farmaajo and Deni are far from great but they are miles ahead of HSM. Farmajo is as corrupt as HSM
His family is living that khaleeji millionaire lifestyle in Qatar thanks to money he looted during his presidency, dont get me wrong hes not worse than HSM but nothing will change under him, might even get worse

Farmaajo likely won’t come back, he has no leg to stand on, deni has an entire state with its own self sustaining revenue. He’d be much better for consolidating Somalia,
He focused on a lot of domestic policies intended to set a foundation for later administrations. HSM pissed away a lot of that and now Somalia is seeing more conflicts than ever. Worse president in the country's history
None of the ministers under cheese were loyal to him through clan or anything, yet they never reported him for embezzlement. Keep in mind the central bank and minister of finance were independent corruption oversight under cheese.Farmajo is as corrupt as HSM

Deni will be destructive in his own way, he will certainly replace turkey with UAE which might be the worse than anything HSM has done so far
Farmajo isnt as bad as HSM but he looted a similar amount of money, just because hes not as insane as HSM doesnt mean he'll change things

The "leader who will fix everything" is a myth. There has to be an entire societal transformation since I think the locals somewhat normalized this kind of corruption. Same with the north.
A youth lead movement is the only thing that can save Somalia at this point. Old khat heads should never be in charge.

Realistically the only way that country can be saved is through one man one vote but Im almost sure HSM is gonna sabotage it, its the 4.5 system which doesnt allow that leader to come forward
Also you dont even need a crazy good leader like that, just a normal one like any other normal country
