There are 7 civilizations that influenced human history, consciousness and human thought, the greatest..
For me the order of the greatest is as follows
1- Contemporary Western civilization (beginning from the nineteenth century
2- Greece
3-Islamic or Arabic ?
4-The Pharaonic
5- Mesopotamia
6-Romanian
7-Chinese
And you, what is the order according to your point of view?

Everything before the modern era was basically garbage, saaxiib. Mostly slave or feudal type societies, no modern amenities, terrible diseases, sanitation issues and death rates running rampant and like 80% or more rural in the vast majority of cases. You think wealth inequality now is bad? Go live in Ancient Egypt where there was like a 1% literacy rate.

The problem is that there are many people who believe that the ancient Pharaohs or Muslims had a better civilization than today

Those people are out of their minds. They see some pretty ancient buildings, some achievements in mathematics and the sciences and some decent art here and there and just get lost in this romanticist, delusional fantasy that "civilization" was anything like civilization now which it was not. Compared to what we have now in the modern world you may as well consider everything before it the stone age in a dozen different ways.

The greatest city of the ancient world in terms of scale was ancient Rome and that barely passed a million and had to be constantly rejuvenated by rural migrants due to the sheer amount of disease and death it would invite without modern sanitation and medicine plus, probably, those crappy post-neolithic diets. A million to a million and a half at best. The best they had... that's pathetic by modern standards.

Islamic Golden Age has to be one: major scientific discovers, translated ancient greek text, the library of Baghdad, and brought medical advancements to Europe.

It's not even a big deal. Im fine with most of my ancestors being badass geeljires who no one could invade because the tent was their home and the bush and camels their provisionz.
