I've been reflecting on recent events in my life, and I'm trying to shove aside the pessimism. With that said, I came up with the idea of this thread.
The rules are simple. Type in things you can't imagine living without in this order and categories. Things that make you feel more complete, more human. Things you love or are passionate about.
And no rude comments please... just type.
Here are some of my mine.
Foods : Goat)/
meat,mashed potatoes, hamburgers, Apple pie, Coca cola and Dr Peppers, chips, tv dinners, fast food,blueberries,chocolate, granola, peanut butter, baby carrots,skim milk, orange juice, Miracle Whip. All eaten on separate occasions, of course.
Family : My Kids, who are probably my best friends. My dad, who now shaves his head and looks surprisingly like Buddha. My mom, who still tries to baby her 32 year old son. My nieces and nephews. Taking them on hikes in the woods, playing games with them and ofcourse letting them win. Taking them fishing. My brothers and sister, who can't choose a spouse for shit, but have wonderful senses of humor and produced great offsprings. And my grandparents, who keep me centered and offer great advice, which I don't take as often as I should.
Television :Seinfeld reruns. ESPN. Comedy Central.l,The Simpson, Family Guy, Futurama, The OC, Friends, South Park, NBA Playoffs and Ohio Buckeye games.
Movies : Too many to name, but some come to mind: The Manchurian Candidate (the original, not Denzel's), Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Se7en, Reservoir Dogs, many by John Hughes, Donnie Darko, True Romance, Signs, The Ninth Configuration, and The Ice Harvest.
Music: Rap Music, Trap music and UK drills, Some of the classic and Qaraami Somali music.
Activities : Soccer,Video games and shooting hoops.
