What’s the strangest ethnicity you’ve ever been mistaken for?

I’ve had 2 Chinese people if I spoke Cantonese. I had an elderly Chinese man start a conversation full Cantonese and was surprised that I didn’t understand anything he said. Maybe it’s because 1. My face is flat with soft features 2. I’m very thin and waif body frame

But a lot of East Asians get rhinoplasty. I think the best way to describe my features are Mukokuseki. Mukokuseki (jp: 無国籍) is the deliberate lack of ethnic features included in the character design of Japanese fictional characters. It literally means "stateless" (i.e. "without nationality"), though the term relates to more abstract anime, and in this case, used hyperbolically. All of my exes and my current boyfriend says I look like an anime character
Wait is that actually you? you look Nigerian or something

Black Cuban. I actually developed a separate private identity because of this. In Canada I have my Somali name but outside of Canada I’m Antonio from Dominica. My Spanish is suspect but I tell them I didn’t speak Spanish at home

Indian women have shown me attention because they thought I was a Kumar and was going to have an arranged marriage with them

The strangest ones I've gotten are:

-Malagasy (by a Somali)
-Sri Lankan (by Sri Lankans)
-Kenyan (by a Kenyan bantu, unsure if he had a specific ethnic group in mind)
-Sudanese, South African (by white people so I take this with a grain of salt)

Interestingly, everyone else can tell I'm Somali straight away except other Somalis who usually think I'm Ethiopian.
