What’s the strangest ethnicity you’ve ever been mistaken for?

The weirdest nationalities/races I’ve been mistaken for :
1. Mongolian
2. Inuit
3. Jamaican( Only when I wear dreads)
Strangely, a lot of ajnabis think I’m part Chinese or Japanese. Some Chinese mistake me for being half East Asian.
What about y’all?

I’ve had 2 Chinese people if I spoke Cantonese. I had an elderly Chinese man start a conversation full Cantonese and was surprised that I didn’t understand anything he said. Maybe it’s because 1. My face is flat with soft features 2. I’m very thin and waif body frame

But a lot of East Asians get rhinoplasty. I think the best way to describe my features are Mukokuseki. Mukokuseki (jp: 無国籍) is the deliberate lack of ethnic features included in the character design of Japanese fictional characters. It literally means "stateless" (i.e. "without nationality"), though the term relates to more abstract anime, and in this case, used hyperbolically. All of my exes and my current boyfriend says I look like an anime character

I got the usual "Are you Somali?" to which I replied "No, I'm Cantonese HongKong native inhabitant"

(no troll but with my facial features, I do look a Black version of MAO)

When I tell them I'm Somali and they ask "where's that?" and I tell them it's in Africa they act all shocked... they think every African looks like your local babatunde
