Methanol fire burns invisible and is not exposed to the naked eye. The Quran describes the jinn as being made from a smokeless fire on the edge of a flame (implying the fire cannot be seen). Methanol is the only substance on earth that cannot be scene when it burns and could be what the jinn are mad of Allah knows best. The scariest part is that your house could be set on fire and you would never know if it was methanol that caused it.
