Buckhead is majority white and there's a crime wave in Atlanta. APD had mass resignations since last year cause they don't feel supported. According to the Atlanta City Council, the vacancy rate within the Atlanta police department is around 25 percent. Now some residents of Buckhead have formed a Buckhead Exploratory Committee to get city status and their own police force. It's an interesting case regarding gentrification, race and wealth.
