The DRC had 1 University and only 16 people that had earned any type of university degree when it got it's independence, pretty much setting them up to fail.

Somalia’s issues are not that difficult that you need to study for decades to solve them.

The early Arabs were just nomads that conquered a superior civilization in Persia. The laws dealing with social organizations later known as Sharia law were adapted from Sassanian legal code. Even the office of Vizier was originally a Sassanian one.

That Caliphates you think created a new unique civilization was really just Persia with a new elite.
