Sometimes it depends. I believe ALL wars are controlled by Allaah swt. For example.....Napoleon won a lot of wars by a small number. But here is a funny thing, Napoleon was not allowed to conquer England or Russia. However he was allowed to conquer other difficult conquering nation. Hitler tried to invade both England and Russia and failed too. That tells me Allaah swa is protectecting these two countries for a reason in the future.

They were politically, socially, militarily and economically in turmoil after decades of war with the Byzantine Empire. There was no longer a centralised empire and instead, there were smaller and weak factions. There was no need for “Tawheed” unless Allah requires to be invoked fighting weaker opponents.

In the Battle of Hunayn, the Muslims outnumbered their opponents but were nearly defeated. Their big numbers elated them, but they availed them naught. They turned their back in retreat and were it not for the Mercy of Allah, they would've been defeated.

I am not so informed about the mechanics of the Generals in war times. My interests are personality. I know Napolean in and out. You are absolutely correct that he suffered from inferiroty complex. Both from size (ie height), to him not being a born French, and also not coming from a good family. That is why he married the princess of Austria. A niece of Marie Antoinette.

It is my understanding that both invasion attempts in Russia was prevented by an onslaught of bad weather, ie Winter storm. Both Napolean and Hitlers soldiers died in numbers in a winter storm
