Robert Mugabe to black Zimbabwe citizens – You Will Appreciate Me More When I Am Gone

My fellow Zimbabweans, I am writing this letter and hope that all of you will read it and share it.

My days on this earth are numbered, but I know that once I am gone, you and your children will never forget about me.

I want you to understand that the reason I have stayed long in power, 36 years on, is because I want to empower all of you my fellow black Zimbabweans. No other president in the entire continent of Africa has done what I have done for you, but you continue to take me for granted.

Do you know that in the whole of Africa, Zimbabweans are the only blacks who own their land? We are the only blacks who own and run means of production, we own our own companies, our own land. That is the true meaning of independence. Political and economic independence.

I have fought tooth and nail my entire political life to ensure that all of you have both political and economic independence. I don’t hate white people, no, not at all. What I hate is their thinking that they are better than us, that they can just come to our country and take our resources and our land, and tell us what to do. To that I say no.Today, I am happy that almost all the land is in black hands.

It is up to you to use the education I gave you to develop the land so it is productive so you can feed yourself. One thing I am proud of is that I worked hard to ensure our natural resources and our land was given back to its rightful owners: you the black people of Zimbabwe.

Go to other countries in Africa. Right here just across he Limpopo, in South Africa, Mandela sold out and gave all the land and economy to the whites. The blacks in South Africa will be slaves to white South Africans forever. As long as land is not in the hands of its rightful owners, the Africans, the black man will continue to suffer in his own land.

The real wealth is now in your hands, I wrestled it away from the white people who came to steal it from you. Yes, the world was angry at me and punished the whole country with sanctions, but I don’t care because I know I was doing the right thing. I was empowering my people. You.

Take care of the land and the industries I have you.

I did my part, the ball is now in your court. Do your part.

You will remember me and appreciate me for what I have done for you when I am gone.

Your president and leader

Africa for Africans.

Robert Gabriel Mugabe

He is absolutely spot on without a doubt, Ghaddafi did even a better job then him because he had oil, yet look at what the people did in return because of western propaganda which whipped them all into a zombie like frenzy to destroy their own country.

The problem with these leaders is that they never provided the correct types of education to the populace that identifies the enemies clearly, detailing their numerous different plots and schemes as it evolves in an almost daily like fashion like the Turks do all the time to their populace.

They also never instil self pride based on historical achievements being the children of Israel to it's people, like the Turks do all the time with their shows on Ottoman past glories under Erdogan even shown on Netflix, as a result the Turks watch more locally produced films then Hollywood with a young generation that is filled with self-pride free from the clutches of western imperialism.

When you neglect this, your people will turn to hollywood and be brainwashed by these white supremacist satanists who instil their own agenda, they will feel inferior and look to them for answers in everything.

You inadvertently give these same powers the nuke option which they can put into effect to mobilise your own people upon masses against you through their cheap propaganda which they already did to Mugabe as they did to Ghaddafi.

Mugabe failed in all of this, he had a chance no African leader before had, his downfall was his own corrupt newly wed wife that set him up on a collision course with those that were loyal to him and kept him in power all this time.

The Western mafia's were in bed with her to ascend the throne but the Chinese stopped this from happening, hopefully the Chinese backed successor does a far better job then he did and learns from his mistakes.

one of the finest African leaders out there... I wonder what drives locals in africa too get rid of good leaders, and at the same time keep quiet about the corrupted puppet leaders.

Ghaddadi did certainly not do a better job. That guy gave his people free money without exciting them to educate themselves. He spoiled them like the Saudis spoil their population. That's why they're still badow. They only dictator that actually emancipated his citizens was Saddam Hussein. He heavily invested in Iraqis to be modern and educated. They even became technological advanced to the point Israel had to bomb an Iraqi nuclear plant as early as 1981!

Mugabe's only miscalculation was to give the farm land to negroes that have no idea how to farm nor have any experience in farming. He should've given the land to the blacks that worked for the white land owners.

Of all the African dictators, it seem that Mugabe understood what was at stake. He understood that true independence is to have political and economic sovereignty. He played hardball with them. It's sad that the love of money was his down fall. What a waste to an amazing career.

No doubt about Saddam being first.

Libya ranked number 1 in human development index in Africa and higher then much of Eastern Europe, his curse was that his people much like the Saudi's have no knack for self enhancement regardless how much money or opportunities you throw their way.

All the universities near me were filled with Libyans paid for by Ghaddafi government to study (mostly Masters, PhD) in real engineering disciplines, he paid them ridiculous money for this and yet some of the ones I met still hated him regardless.

You can take the horse to the water but you can't force it to drink, the Libyan's are still a lot better then the Khaleeji's, Ghaddafi like much of the Khaleeji's were cursed with a lazy useless populace but he had all the right ideas.

Mugabe just like Ghaddafi nationalised their land/resources (hence sanctions), but one guy did something with it, while the other didn't as you pointed out with the farms given to useless people from his tribe who couldn't farm for shit

Mugabe unlike Ghaddafi had a very hardworking dedicated populace that was hungry for knowledge which he never utilised, I met many of them that fled who are in top professions, I went to uni with a handful, the most calmest peaceful people you will ever meet, yet he never really utilised them despite massive investments from China for their diamonds in the 10's of billions.

Ghaddafi is a million times better then Mugabe regardless which metric you use, even when it comes to corruption, ghaddafi was far less corrupt on a immeasurable scale compared to Mugabe, Mugabe's people fled the country in huge numbers many of them ending up in South Africa were they are butchered unlike the Libyan's that stayed put mostly.

He is a hero, Zimbabwe will never be a colony thanks to him. But he did overstay his presidency and changed the constitution many times to stay in power. His people have not seen great change &what will keep poor zimbabweans from selling their land to white people now?

Somalis could learn a lot from Zimbabweans. By all means, chase away the president, but please don't destroy the country in the meanwhile or kill innocent people. :tocry:

Ghaddafi had natural resources, much more wealth and less powerful enemies. Mugabes faced immense sanctions. Mugabe was a better statesman and a better politician. Ghaddafi was fairly easily deposed, but Mugabe survived many tribulations.Ghaddafi's people slaughtered him, Mugabe won't be slaughtered. You can't compare the too.

An example of his craftmanship is when he, in the capacity of AU chairman, opposed the dictator in Burundi to extend his term. Ironic, considering he's the longest serving African leader.

Spot on.

The Chinese and the white imperialists think in terms of generations, especially the Chinese who think in terms of centuries. The Arab's and the African's of today think only as long as they are in power or as long as the end of their term (Somalia), as far as they are concerned it's better that the entire country collapses then them loosing power.

We saw this with Barre when he failed to walk away while the country was still in tact, while the Ethiopian leader at that time did for the sake of his country.

The other issue is that the western nations are run by cooperation that fund different parties, the leader of the party is nothing more then just a face, there is no absolute power as is the case in Africa and the middle east were a leader rules until he dies or gets disposed off.

The Chinese have a similar set up with their communist party, this is why companies like Dhabashiil and Hormuud are so useless in the grand scheme of things, if they had any brains with the amount of wealth they have, they could have easily done the same decades ago in Somalia and in the processes cut off the foreigners but they decided to fall asleep instead.

Every corporation like them in the west has strong influence in their governments in the form of lobbying which is really euphemism for corruption and bribery. We are really pathetic as a people when you think about it, the opportunities are there, but the money is in the hands of morons because the collectively state of our people is like this.

The state owns the majority of the land. The men that did the coup are still his friends, this was actually very honourable coup. Yesterday he was seen in public as he attended a graduation ceremony at a university. They just don't want @Gucci mane Gucci Grace to became president, but they still agree with him and his vision. The mistakes he did are minor and rectifiable for African standards.

Mugabe was a clever man, if only he utilised his people and land a lot more productively. He did the hard part of taking back lands that the white man stole. Not many leaders can say the same thing.

I agree. Lobbyist do operate in Somalia but not to the extent as where they change laws/policies
but they can give out contracts to specific people etc.The heads of these companies dont have a vision big enough because it has never been done. US have become so good at it that the government cant control the influence of big business, leading them into wars, causing a opioid epidemic etc. With balance it can be good to reduce taxes but we dont want to end up selling out our country like uncle sam.
