Wait.. what happened to the port deal former Pres. Farmajo and Pm Abiy had?

That's true, but Somalis shouldn't be so emotional, and see that it's not the average Oromo doing that. Building navies, sending troops, etc, are not decisions an average Oromo would subbort. But, export and import, like it or not, we were using somali ports 100s of years ago, there are traditional routes there.
Dosent help that you have a harsh and annoying way of sharing your thoughts

Dude we dont want to do anything with you leave us alone imo kkk

I was discussing recent events with a Somali brother, from the Garre clan. We were discussing the port/SL controversy and we pretty much realized that, this may alienate the non-Isaaq clans in SL, and may end up with SL being reduced to just the lands the Isaaq inhabit (berbera, burao, hargeisa??), which could be bad.
He also reminded me, in 2018, Obbo Farmajo and PM Abiy reached an agreement on the ports, but we haven't heard much about it since then?? Does anyone know?

Investment is one thing, but wanting to occupy, if own real estate is another in yet another Somali region, and an unacceptable one at that. Besides, if .Et had funds to invest, and we all know it is skint, why not the Lamu port to which Kenya agreed to?

------------------
In 2012, Ethiopia agreed a deal with Kenya to facilitate the acquisition of land in the island of Lamu as part of the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia-Transport (Lapsset) project, a $24bn(Β£18bn) transport and infrastructure plan to link the two countries and their neighbours.
- The project was signed in 2012 but has been beset by funding delays and security problems in both countries.

No sane Somali will give Ethiopia a port while it still occupies Somali Region of Ethiopia.

One things doing business that'll benefit both parties equally, but Abiye want to own a coast and build a navy on our soil, shitting on our nations sovereignty.. That is why we are so hostile towards your people and country... Imagine if you were in our shoes wouldn't you feel the same way?

Farmaajo was an Ethiopian ally and shared the sentiment of helping Ethiopia gain access to the sea. He saw it as necessary. He wasn’t going to give Lughaya because of its significance. Though there was other locations he had in mind.

But if you really want to know the public opinion, just look at farmaajo who always backed ethiopia during his term, is now telling the nation to prepare for war.

What exactly Ethiopia is trying to do here? If it's leasing

Farmajo alone can't lease or sell our ports. It require approval from the legislative branch of the government along with public referendum. Ethiopia couldn't honor their part of the Berbera port deal , and it seems they don't want to continue to dish out 2 Billions a year to Djbouti. What Ethiopia really wants is free port. Let's see if they can force their will on us.

From what I remember it was just a rumour, there was no concrete evidence that Farmajoo made that deal, nor did he announce such a pact.

Why so angry pal? Did i struck a nerve or something? I know from experience chatting with oromos online that they get easily irritable.

That much is obvious. His repeated use of the word β€˜Nomadic’ is evidence of this. The real kicker is that out of all the major countries in East Africa, Somalia has the highest urbanisation rate, maybe we should start calling them β€˜peasants’ but of-course followed by the term β€˜brother’?

Isaaq lands are thΓ© largest and most populated areas of SL. There’s nothing the minorities (Dir or Jabarti) can do about. We live in Awdal and Sool & Sanaag rΓ©gions. The deal will be done and there’s nothing salty Somalians or their canon fodder can do about it

Lol it's all jokes to me, you guys can call us what you want; peasants, slaves, etc. I just shrug it off and joke back.
As far as the history dwarfing others; will that 'history' save you guys from the punishment of this life and the hereafter? If so, then congrats! If not, then it's nothing to brag about. Tell me, your accomplishments; such as, how much of the Qur'an have you memorized? Do you have good Tajweed? What is your level of understanding the Arabic language? Etc, etc etc.
