Wadaad council

U know wat I don't understand.. the larger somali community has many many big wadaads (muftis or shakhis).. why don't they create a council of sort that influences the masses instead of only self-interested tribal/political old heads having the majority of public influence.
- They could have their own security guards and everything
-Be connected to the 1000+ mosques across Somalia

Imagine this council condemning clanism and fighting in the name of clans or lands... while also condemning political/tribal heads that spread conflict and hostility

Did you saw the video of a Niqabi women with AK-47 threatening entire clan because one of them was psycho who burned his wife and they wanted stop the justice system? One of the Niqabi women said that her whole lineage is wadaads and culuma and she will not stand by while that psycho facing justice, so she threatened the clan of the victim to drop the case or face mass slaughter.

Basically most of Somali religiosity is like that, a facade they use in their day to day life, but if something happens, it is all about Qabiil.

When I say wadaads I mean legends like Abdul Rachid Soufi, shakhi umal, shakhi Mustafa and so on

Kkkk if you ever been Somalia you would know that the niqaab is not worn for religious reasons mostly. It has became a new cultural trend, and majority of the women in Somalia were niqaab now from young to old. It's more just a piece of clothing to hide their face and most girls feel more comfortable going out with it on.

It's more a fashion trend than anything else. If you go to Somalia don't get duped and think a niqaabi is a pious religious person....

The pious Niqabis are in the west or middle-east. I wont get close to any Niqabi in Somalia.

This won't be political group but it would have great influence in political matters.. also not centralized but rather decentralised which would make it harder to find a target
