Exactly instagram is a cesspool full of the hate the amount of things I heard about somalis on instagram reel is sickening the hate is severe. Is a trend now to spit on us and I will often make dua especially during Ramadan that the hate and trolls come to an end. I hiemstly think people are under a spell considering I didn't see the severe hate 2023 or 2021. Someone put a curse on us. Either eay have faith in Allah this will end.

Madow men in the UK do chase Somali girls but Alhamdullilah, it is considered taboo for those of us from stable backgrounds to have anything to do with them. Hence their constant calacaal. They always mock groups whose women they can’t access easily.

Somali restaurants are filled with ajanabis, there is a growing middle class of Somalis owning their own homes as well as a growing number of Somali professionals.

Somalis are also becoming visible in the mainstream in the UK with positive representation. We recently had a Somali barrister on BBC’s Question Time sharing a panel with known politicians.

Yeah I also got told i don't look somali but eritrean. Back in the day we weren't seen as human by others so they felt confident enough to scrutinise us every chance they got. I honestly believe now is because they wanted us to assimilate or at least show interest in them, well not most since some were truly xenophobic towards us unprovoked. Is because recently some Somali girls have decided to take off the hijab and show skin and thats why we are getting some attention from ajanabi men.

She was vulnerable and no one would defend her everyone would join in the hate because being sen as somali was seen as subhuman. What part of Hackney had mostly white? I thought is mostly jamaicans there? I noticed if you go to a majority cadaan school with no maadows they don't say anything about you being somali, it it was majority maadow school than they would have mocked you.
