وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَآبَّةٍۢ مِّن مَّآءٍۢ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِى عَلَىٰ بَطْنِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِى عَلَىٰ رِجْلَيْنِ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِى عَلَىٰٓ أَرْبَعٍۢ ۚ يَخْلُقُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ ٤٥

I like this verse in Surah Noor too. verse 45
"Allah has created every animal from water. Of them some move on their bellies, some move on two legs and some on four. Allah creates whatever He wills. Surely Allah has power over everything."
This mean Jiins & Shaitans are not created from Water, because they do not walk or crawl according to the verse. Creatures that are created from water need the earths gravity. Jiins fly because they energy and anti Water entity!

For sure. But they never actually walk on the ground unless they take shape form of a human.
In the bible there is a scene where Jesus pbuh saw two humans coming out of a grave yard. The humans instantly got spooked when they saw Issa pbuh. They said to him "Why have you come to torment us before our time"
And this clearly matches and Quran confirms that The Shaitans know that their punishment will come- after all Iblis has asked God to give him respite until Yomul Qiyama so he can corrupt humans- and out of Allaah swt mercy --God allowed him.
To come back to the two humans in the grave yard- they were demon possessed. Issa pbuh him said to them- Get out of these humans body. The Jiins said we are 2000 Jiins in these two men. (Which is shocking-because humans can be possessed by thousand of jiins and function normally) And the Jiins asked for permission to come out and enter pigs who were grazing in the vicinity. That is another confirmation from Quran and Hadith. Jiins must ask for permission to enter.
When Isssa pbuh allowed them -they entered the pigs -and the pigs began to rattle, make noise and run wildly until they fell from the cliff and into the ocean.
Which comes to your point-- they are divers!
This tale also shows Pigs are filthy- Shaitan prefer them to sheep or other domestic herd

28 And when He came to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men confronted Him as they were coming out of the tombs. (13) خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ (14) وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ (15) فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
14. He created the human being from hard clay like [that of ], pottery
15. And He created the jinn from a fusion of fire
16. So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?

Some fly and others dive.

Yes, it's Haram because Jinns will not serve you until you commit Shirk. That's why Magicians are apostates.
