It's nothingto do with the dam it's all about Chinese influence in Ethiopia.

USA removed TPLF from power because of the Chinese and Abye still deals with China which is a no brainer.

So the thing is After the dam is build most of the revenue would go to China for years to come as they took out billions from China and would be heavily indebted to China.
The US wants this project to fail and will destroy any Chinese enceouchment to Ethiopian resources just like the did to South Sudan.

Nah because Uganda already uses Victoria falls and sells energy to Kenya.Will Egytpians buy energy from them?

Also the pricing issue if they price the energy to high then no one will buy from them as there are alternatives and if they price it low the wouldn't be able to pay back the loan and would likely end up defaulting on it.
