I actually met this moron once at a Somali event at SOAS. If you gave him a penny for his thoughts you'd get change back.

He was giving a presentation about the colonial history of Somalia/Somaliland and said so many unbelievably dumb and incorrect things. At the break I corrected a couple of these, and sarcastically told him that I was surprised to find out he was doing a PHD on this subject. A few people sniggered, so in a very Trump like fashion he got all hot and bothered and insisted I should call his university if I didn't believe him.
Very typical Somaliweyn numpty.
Neither company really believes in secession, they just do it to make SL govt happy.
If Dahabshiil did, they wouldn’t be building their biggest investment in Xamar.
Hormuud doesn’t as it’s a Southern based company that makes the vast majority of its revenue outside SL.

That is a very bad argument. People very easily differentiate their political beliefs from their commercial interests all the time. I am the biggest SL independence advocate but would happily invest in Xamar if I thought i'd get returns on my investments. I am surprised that this concept seems alien to you. To give you an extreme example, the Times and Sunday Times newspaper were supporters of Tony Blair's Labour Party, whilst they were owned by super Conservative Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch. He saw that it was great for sales so never went against the editorial staff.Neither company really believes in secession, they just do it to make SL govt happy.
