Another concern in Somaliland is the rising number of teenagers chewing khat while smoking shisha, exacerbating health risks, [Fatima] Saeed said. She estimated about 20 percent of Somaliland women already chew khat - a figure which continues to rise - although they do so out of the public eye.
I always tell other Somalis, SL/issaqs getting recognition is not a bad thing. Their population is khaat addicted degenerates so what are we losing? LOL
Like all drugs, people use them to escape reality and we must understand our people back home who face many challenges. We know when our next check will hit to pay our bills and what our next meal will be, imagine if u didn’t. chewing khat is no different and it’s consumed in every region. Let us hope that our leaders tackle this issue
