UAE and Egypt recruiting and training secret Somali forces

UAE fat calool and incompetent Egyptians the Israelis have regularly spied on.

We need these troops to get some Israeli training for sure. I recommend HSM to begin talks with Israel on security training after we defeat Shabaab in terms of territory

Having arabs train you is a death sentence, should've had Israelis, Russians or Chinese train them. The Soviet trained odeys still dominating the political world of Somalia today should be a good example of what good military and intelligence training can do for someone

Yuhuud put them in their place every time, it's funny, even without the help of the West the Yuhuud beat 7 arab countries which had more solider and better modern weapons than the Yahuud, by every metric it shouldn't been a total defeat for Israel. Wallahi it's amazing how they won. Watch this video when you get a chance sxb

Modern day arabs can’t fight, Somalia should make a partnership with better options. One thing I can think of is Finland, we can have finnish somalis bridging the gap and helping the local somalis.

Somalis should replace Pakistanis as the royal guards for the gulf monarchs, imagine getting paid 100k to sit around in royal palaces

The Emiratis sent military teams to Somalia as early as 2012 to combat piracy off the coast and later launched operations against al-Shabab and other armed groups in the country.

“Over time, the Emiratis established a ring of more than half a dozen commercial ports or military bases around the Gulf of Aden and the Horn of Africa, including a major military base at Assab, Eritrea, that was used to launch operations into Yemen.”

These guys are only in Somalia to prevent Turkey, Iran, and Qatar to have good relations with Somalia.

Turkey’s relations with Somalia are robust, including operating ports and airports, development of its export markets, and regular air links operated by Turkish Airlines

While Saudi interest in Somalia was mostly in the context of its competition with, and concern about, Iranian interventions, the UAE presence there historically was mostly focused on business and commercial interests.

UAE commercial presence was most apparent through Emirati maritime businesses, notably Dubai Ports World (DP World), engaged in developing Somali seaports, including Berbera and Bosaso. Much of the bilateral UAE-Somali private sector activity is handled by a large Somali expatriate community based in Dubai.

Among regional actors, most international attention has been focused on the interplay of competing interests among the Saudis, Emiratis, Qataris, and Turks.

But Egypt, too, has critical interests at stake in the Horn of Africa and has historically considered the African Red Sea coast to be within its sphere of influence. The pursuit of Egypt’s national interest has placed it alternatively in cooperation with its Gulf partners and in competition with them

Egypt’s current interests in the Horn focus on two issues: Sudan’s political transition and the development of Ethiopia’s Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) project.
