U.S. Seizes Four Iranian Tankers Carrying Fuel to Venezuela

The US is engaging in straight-up sea piracy. I get it the US can impose sanctions using the dominance of the almighty dollar, but the physical seizure of oil tankers belonging to foreign countries is way overboard and not a good precedent for future as other countries will do the same and there will be no argument the US can use to call for law and order.

The US might be trying to provoke Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz and start a war.

I hope the US returns the tankers back to Iran. This is just not right. There is no international law saying that countries can not deliver fuel to Venezuela.

Let me guess Russia will step in and start escorting Iranian tankers bound to Venezuela in the future.

No. Iran and Venezuela are small fry for WW3 to start.

That said Russia will never allow Venezuela and Iran to fall into the US hands.

Maduro is being guarded by the elite Russian Special forces. There are several hundreds of them in Caracas. It is the same deal as when the Turkish Special Forces were sent to guard the Emir of Qatar at the height of the Gulf stand-off.

Iran is strong by itself, but Russia is geographically close to Iran to interfere promptly.

Really the primary purpose of the US Navy is to safeguard the maritime world trade for its own corporate benefit. As the major routes are located in the Southeast Asia and the Middle East, the US had to rely heavily on aircraft carriers to be able to deliver a punch when needed. It has 10 of them. In terms of Navy, nobody comes even remotely close to the US.

The Chinese are trying, but failing to control maritime routes. Personally, I don't want to see the Chinese navy on up and up as they are savages with even more disregard for the law than the US.

Russia is third in ranking with its joke Navy. I believe their submarines get good marks though.

Don't be naive. China is thousand times worse than the US. The political system of the US doesn't allow much authoritarian flexibility for those in power unlike the Chinese who literally enslave their minorities and look down on them with disdain. The detention of hundreds of thousands, and possibly millions, of Uyghurs and members of other Muslim minority groups in "political re-education camps" in China should be a great example of their cruelty. The Chinese are mortified of white man's colossal military strength and without that power they'd have enslaved millions more in neighbouring countries and throughout the world. Lack of empathy and compassion for others is synonymous with the Chinese.
