The flight was cancelled afted the intervention of the European Court for Human Rights.

They might now use this as an excuse to withdraw from the Court's jurisdiction so that they can get rid of other protections.

They are saying anyone entering the UK illegally after 1st of January could be sent, with no limit on numbers. I thought refugees seeking asylum in the UK can’t be penalised for entering illegally if they are claiming asylum and coming from a place where their life or freedom are threatened.
