Twitter should remove the block option

I understand that there are horrible and crazy people out there in the cyber space that wants to abuse people but the problem I have with Twitter allowing its users to block other users is that it makes people I think less tolerant towards people who have different views from us and reduces our accounts to echo chambers. If somebody hasn't abused you personally or discriminated against you on a racial/gender/religious/medical etc basis then nobody should have the right to block someone else just because they have a different perspective or viewpoint. We should stand for pluralism and open mindedness

We live in a curated world. I think a bigger problem are the algorithms that promote content that you engage with the most and it’s often content you agree with.

I personally don't think it should be removed. Even tho i barely even use twitter. Blocking anybody anywhere always feel great it doesn't even have to mean you felt in danger or you were offended.

You should try it, it's great.

Thank God social media has the block button. There are a lot of annoying users & trolls who need to be blocked, otherwise social media would be a disaster.

@Kool-Aid @Boqorada I get blocked by western public figures when I politely call them out on something they shouldn't do or if they act with double standards lol. Also I get blocked by crazy N&N fanboys whenever I criticise Farmajo and their tribalism which they disguise as "nationalist centralism"
